How this list was built

This list is built from two public inputs. The first is the portfolio's source-backed directory of publicly reported investors, in which each company page cites the public sources that name its investors. The second is a public profile for each person: their own website, a reputable publication, or a recognised investor database that states their public role, their stated focus, and the city they are based in where a source gives one.

The list includes every verified person publicly reported in at least one Fintech company in the portfolio. A person is verified only when at least two independent public sources support their public role and at least one supports their stated focus. Nothing here is inferred from private information. The page never records amounts, terms, timing, rounds, or roles within a round, and it says nothing about the portfolio owner's own positions. Where public statements conflict, for example on a home city, the field is left blank rather than guessed.

Entries are ordered by how many Fintech startups in the portfolio publicly report the person, then by their overall portfolio count, then alphabetically. Counts are limited to this portfolio's public research: a person publicly reported in two of the 222 portfolio companies is shown as two even when their full public record is larger. The list is evidence-based and may be incomplete; a person who is not named here may still be an active angel investor.

How to reach angel investors

Every person on this page is reachable through their own public channels, which is why each entry links the website or X profile that their cited sources confirm. Read the stated focus before writing: an angel who publicly describes a sector or stage is telling founders what they want to see. Keep the first note short, name the problem, the customer, and the evidence that people already use the product, and make it easy to verify each claim. A warm introduction from a founder the investor already backs is the most reliable route, and the portfolio company links on each entry show where those founders are.

Frequently asked questions

How was this list of 17 angel investors built?
It combines two public inputs: the portfolio's source-backed directories of publicly reported investors, and a cited public profile for each person. An investor is listed only when at least two independent public sources support their public role. Entries are ordered by how many Fintech startups in the portfolio publicly report the person, then by their overall portfolio count, then alphabetically. The list counts Fintech companies in the portfolio and may be incomplete.
What does "publicly reported" mean on this page?
A named public source, such as a company announcement, an investor's own site, a reputable publication, or a recognised investor database, states that the person invested in the company. Each source is linked through a neutral reference. The page does not record amounts, terms, timing, or rounds, and it says nothing about the portfolio owner's own positions.
How can an investor be added to or corrected on this list?
Send the public source that supports the change to sahin@remotebase.com. An addition needs a public source naming the person as an investor in a company in this portfolio plus two public sources for their role; a correction needs one public source. Every change is reviewed before it is published.
